About Us

Franks Seafood was established in 1996 by Frank Mazza.

When Frank met the love of his life, Nancy, not only did he marry her, but it was also the start of a 35yr journey in the seafood industry. Nancy comes from a fishing background, with her Father being one of the first Italian fisherman in Southeast Queensland. Her family owned and operated a prawn trawler which supplied prawns to Chinese restaurants and to use as bait. They also owned and operated ‘Arena’, a bait and tackle shop on the waters of Breakfast Creek in Brisbane, which was established in 1970. Working alongside Nancy and her family Frank eventually branched out and opened his own wholesale seafood outlet, Frank’s Seafood, which is situated in Brisbane’s West End, and has been servicing an elite list of restaurants and hotels throughout Southeast Queensland for close to 10 years.

Michael and Belinda purchased Franks seafood in April 2021. Michael and Belinda were wanting to target a larger audience with their live Coral Trout when Frank’s came on the market.  They are the owners of a small fishing business Two Brothers Fishing and a live coral trout boat, FV Peri, based in Mackay, North Queensland. They specialize in catching premium Queensland reef fish and supply the domestic and international market with live Coral Trout. Michael has been on and off boats for over 35yrs, with his early days spent working alongside his father John.

With extensive experience in the fishing industry and a strong emphasis on providing fresh, premium quality, sustainable seafood straight from the boat to the consumer Michael and Belinda guarantee optimum freshness and superior quality.

Frank is still working at Franks seafood on a part time basis.
